Can ferrofluid be used to solve problems like oil spill in the ocean?

Well, I was just watching this Household hacker video on youtube, and it said something about ferrofluid attracting water. So this was what I thought of immediatily, but are there environmental problems from the iron, or is there too few to be executed, or is it just inefficient? Can ferrofluid be used to solve problems like oil spill in the ocean? No for it is a magnetic fluid and doesnt attract to the magnet. It just spikes up.Plus it would be harmful because you would be putting printer ink into the ocean. Can ferrofluid be used to solve problems like oil spill in the ocean?anytime bro.
