Most of this garbage is a scam so they could screw people out of some money, just like global warming, in the 70's it was over population and then it was the new ice age. According to the so called scientist that made the claim it was due to pollution from the cars and factories that got up in the atmosphere and mingled with the clouds and came down causing all the acid rain. Sulfur from the cars and chlorine gas was supposed to mix and make a hydro sulfuric acid. The car manufacturers started putting on catalytic converters to reduce emissions and the problem has been reduced drastically. I'm very skeptical whenever these experts come out with a new study because it just means we all end up paying a lot more for their whims. That is the reason we are so dependent on foreign oil while we have more in this country alone than the whole world supply put together, the environmentalist have successfully blocked drilling for it, for our own good supposedly. Is Acid Rain Still An Environmental Problem?Yes it is still an issue, but regulations are having an impact to lessen its effects.
