Having said that certain countries refuse cyanide to be used in their national gold mining operations %26amp; other solvents such as sodium thiosulphate plus EDTA are used instead. Such things are at an early stage of experimentation but might end up being practical.



Abandoned open pits can be turned into fish farms or into leisure facilities for water sports.
