Do you think it is the government's responsibility to solve environmental problems or is it the the responsIn my opinion it is everyone's responsibility to preserve the environment, however, it is obvious that a lot of corporations will continue to pollute unless they are stopped.



Therefore it is up to the government to legislate restrictions on major polluters (e.g. chemical plants, steel foundries, mining operations etc.) and to enforce these laws.Do you think it is the government's responsibility to solve environmental problems or is it the the responsIt is every human beings responsibility to care for their world.

Excess packaging is a personal pet peeve. Think about it- why must the butter (soft kind, or any one of numerous daily grocery items) be in a container which has a sterility/ safety seal, then have a plastic ring on the outside, then be inside an additional cardboard 'box' of sorts? All for advertising. Why are personal care products not sold more frequently in larger, refillable containers? For revenue and advertising. Multiply the resources needed for those items' packaging by the number purchased each day, and it's a problem.

The government could also help by not blocking research on alternative fuel methods in order to keep the public depend ant petroleum based products.

Disposable diapers- in the US there are few alternatives which appeal to the majority of parents, yet in 'third world' countries biodegradable disposables are readily available. Why? Because Pampers, Huggies etc. are not about children's futures, they are about profit, and it has not been made 'worth their efforts' to create a quickly degrading diaper, since they are a necessity which much be purchased regardless. Considering that everything on a Mars Mission would be recycled, one would have to say that practically all waste and rubbish is recyclable.
