Can economic growth of a country solve its environmental problems?

write either 'for' the topic or 'against' it.

I'll be gald if you could write both, under seperate headings. Can economic growth of a country solve its environmental problems?economic growth usually leads to increased environmental problems since these countries don't have regulations in place to handle possible environmental damage. for example, if a country is growing economically it might have more electricity/fuel plants. however, they probably won't have air quality regulations like we do in the united states and therefore there will be a lot of pollution until they realize the environmental damage. we're going to see a lot of these problems in countries such as china.

these developing countries also often get taken advantage of by developed countries such as the US, since we like to take our toxic wastes and dump them on their land. so they also have environmental hazards such as those to deal with.

on the other side, economic growth may increase food production which can decrease hunger and underfed people.
