There is no surefire way to ensure you get a job. All you can do is dress neatly, be polite and on-time and try to make a good impression. Talk about your strengths and avoid weaknesses as much as you can. Act mature, don't joke with the manager, use complete sentences and proper grammar - remember, this is a business meeting.

If he says that he will call you back, thank him for his time, tell him that you are really looking forward to working at the store, politely ask if he has any timetable for filling the position, and ask if there is a time/date you can expect a call (even if you don't get the job).

If he calls and you don't get the job, thank him again and ask if your could be considered for the next opening they have. The more you keep it professional, the better off you will look and the better chances you will have.About to turn in a work application, how do i get the job forsure!?
PRAY -- a lot!

There is NO way to guarantee that you will get a job -- unless you work for your Dad.

Almost all personnel managers say, "We'll call you" but they never do. It is completely unreasonable for you to expect them to call you to tell you you DIDN'T get teh job. They may have seen HUNDREDS of applicants, and they don;t have time to call every one and say "Sorry . . . ."

The ONLY thing you can do is to do your best. Show up on time for the interview (maybe 5 minutes early), answer the questions seriously, and don't try to make jokes or act like you know the guy personally. After the interview be sure to thank him for his time, and tell him that you hope to hear from him soon.

The - - -PRAY! In this economy there are HUNDREDS of people looking for that very job. And most of them will have more experience than you. So do your best, and put your application in at as many places as you can.
