Why students are not aware of environmental problems,because tomorrow future is in the hands of presenstudents

I think most of them are aware but they simply don't care because they are sure that there are other people who will take care of it. Besides that, it depends on which country you are talking about. If you want to talk about my country, yes the students here learn about the environment but it doesn't interest them because of the mentality of the people here who push students to care more about things which can help them earn money. The students here are trying the best to qualify into the medicine field, thinking of environmental field is just out of their mind.Why students are not aware of environmental problems,because tomorrow future is in the hands of presenstudentsI don't know were your kids go to school but even my kid in elementary school brings home, homework related to the environment.



Between TV and school the kids are getting plenty of the global warming brainwash. When I was in school the world was over populated and we were all going to starve.



As soon as industry finds a way to make a weapon out of green house gases we will be suffering a shortage of it.

Good for you. As you get into college, you'll find less self centered people. With the way we are trashing out environment the 20 somethings of today will be left to deal with Earth's destruction by humanity in the not so far future.

There seem to be a lot of schools teaching classes regarding the environment. If it is not being taught in your school yet you should ask all the parents to sign a petition to the school board to put it on the curriculum.

Of course I have to agree with someone's (I forgot who) answer. Yes, they think that people can just leave it to other people to finish the task. But we're all responsible in our own way, right? Like how many times you drive.

There are other reasons too. A simple solution is this: MORE RECYCLING BINS. Students are aware of the environmental problems just that they think that it is a boring subject, but now, teachers teach more about Global Warming. Many students seem more aware, but just don't act on their awareness. It could be their priorities or that they are following old rules or they don't want to put forth the effort. Not all students, but most.
Perhaps you might like to conduct an actual survey on that.



From what I know, students nowadays are very aware of that.

In the college I am studying right now, many activity on environmental issue are being held annually and you can actually see many of them come out with creative of ways to solve environmental problems.



Sadly it seems that the people running the world today are not aware of the problem..... Or maybe they are aware, just without doing anything to stop or solve the problem. They are more interested in making goals before election rather that meeting them after election.
I'm a student and I resent the remarks about us not caring. We care a lot, but we remain ignorant on the subject because no one today is willing to teach us about it. How can we stand up and fight for our environment, if no one will teach us how to back up our claims of Global Warming. My class on the environment was a joke, we watched the news, and the teacher slept. What kind of society do we have when we blame students for not learning or caring, when the adults hinder them from learning about what matters? Instead we learn about the fake history of the US, where George Washington chopped down a cherry tree and Columbus found America and the Pilgrims and Indians got along! What a joke, teach us what you want us to learn and stop feeding us bullshit! We really care, we just don't have enough knowledge to prove it!
it's either they don't really care or the adults are not explaining enough. society can also be a bad influence, they're indifference may be copied by the future generations.
