Environmental PROBLEMS:
1. Global warming:caused by emission of harmful gases, deforestration, industrial effluents released into water.
2.depletion of renewable sources of energy:becz of their excessive usage
3.Extinction of endangered species:due of deprivinig of their natural homes(forests),poaching
SOLUTIONS:
1.The carbon compounds should be supplemented with alternate energy sources.refridgerators,ac's should be manufactured with carbon free compounds.
2.Alternate sources of energy like Geothermal energy(Production of heat from earths crust the most recent project should be funded properly) should be developed
3.Stringent laws against poachers, development of natural parks, afforestation and the most important for all these is to "SPREAD AWARENESS AMONG PEOPLE".Please state at least 3 ENVIRONMENTAL problems we are facing and the cause and possible solution?problem.
1.Extinction and endangerment of animals.
2.Landfills taking up more space.
3.Deforestation, a lot of natural land is being turned into human space.
cause.
1. Deforestation and poaching.
2. People waste materials and they don't recycle.
3. People are greedy. They don't have concern for environment.
solution.
1.People need to stop destroying land and using animals for clothing and other products.
2.Recycle! Use things again, don;t throw away something that's isn't done with.
3.Something needs to teach people about environmental awareness. Please state at least 3 ENVIRONMENTAL problems we are facing and the cause and possible solution?TOXIC WASTE
My son had a summer job in a factory that made pressure regulating devices. He processed the broken units returned by unhappy customers, and many of these were leaking mercury or had visible mercury residue. He scraped them clean and then polished them on a buffing wheel.
No one in the company wore gloves or masks, so he didn't either. After about a week, when he had processed about 100 units, his supervisor told him he should wear a mask when buffing. (This was the same supervisor who threw balls of mercury in the office wastebasket, mind you!)
3 months later, my son was diagnosed with a rare auto immune disease that cannot be cured. It is a progressive disease that could potentially cripple or kill him, although I sincerely hope it doesn't.
I am not claiming that the mercury had anything to do with the disease. No one knows what causes it. But what is truly disturbing is the company's cavalier attitude about a handling and disposing of a known poison, and the governments' indifference to such behavior.
For instance, my son said no one that worked there believed mercury was harmful, but he couldn't help noticing (very much against his will) that everyone who worked there had difficulty urinating, and found it very painful, too. It was normal for them to moan and grimace when trying to pee.
I learned that a company who made similar items in New York had two employees that were very ill most of the time. One of them had become mentally unstable as well. Someone called OSHA, who ended up issuing over 500 citations for safety issues at the factory. The business never paid a dime of the fines leveled against them. They never shut down for even 1 day. The OSHA inspector returned five times over the next few years, but it didn't matter how many times they were fined. Nothing changed.
Now, this factory sits a few feet from a river, and it is surrounded by marshy wetlands. Clearly they were releasing mercury into the air and water of a Massachusetts town, but nobody knows about it. We all secure in the knowledge that our government is acting as our watchdog and protecting citizens from being exposed to toxic waste. There are laws about such things, right? It is not a problem anymore - or so we think.
It is all a lie. This company refused to let my son go to the emergency room after he dropped mercury in his lap, where it remained for hours and caused a vicious open wound on his thigh. They had their own doctor on call. He said it was nothing to worry about. The government either doesn't believe in toxic waste, or doesn't care if a few people die in order to keep the profits rolling in.
My older son died from a brain tumor a few years ago. He spent the first eight years of his life in and around cranberry bogs, which have been tentatively linked to this kind of tumor, which is inventively fatal within six months to a year. I am not claiming there is any relationship between the two events, but have you ever considered the effects of spraying pesticides into a bog? It has got to be poisoning the groundwater and the soil for miles around.
The cause of this problem is greedy people and a government that encourages their greed. The solution will come when 1/2 the population are afflicted with debilitating diseases, unable to work, and looking for SSDI disability benefits. By then, it might be too late.
I never talk about these things. People that carry on about toxic waste and chemicals when there is no scientific evidence linking them to disease are considered kooks. But these things take time. I have already seen a dramatic increase in the incidences of diseases such as Lupus, MS, and other auto-immune related illnesses over the past few decades. I believe the day will come when our government will be forced to address the issue. It won't be in my lifetime. But it will eventually occur.
In the meantime, don't walk barefoot if you are within 5 miles of a cranberry bog. Keep your kids away from marshes and lakes if there is a factory nearby. And drink bottled water.
None of that will help, but you'll feel safer, anyway
