Wow where have you been? LOL JK well it is melting the ice caps at the poles causing the oceans levels to rise, this is covering some of the lower laying "barrier islands" exposing some shorelines to the full brunt of the oceans tides and storms . this is damaging to plants and animals that established themselves when they had the added protection of the barrier islands. also the oceans temperatures are rising , this is producing more violent storms (hurricanes and tropical storms) and also killing the coral reefs that are very sensitive to elevated temps. also there has been a big reduction in the sea-ice both in the arctic and antarctic which really effects the wildlife , like polar bears that need the "packice" to hunt on. Personally, teh greenhouse effect is a beneficial system for Earth, keeping our climate warm enough for us to benefit and survive a comfortable lifestyle.



Want to know what really is causing environmental problems on Earth? Too many cows wasting our lands, which depletes the land of nutrients, and makes it useless. Then you have to move the cows, which ruins more land!



And what happened to deforestation? Last time I checked, that was a huge problem!



And how about all the junk and garbage that won't go away? Seriuosly, what about the landfills?



We spend all our time worrying about "global warming" and its claticlismic events, and we try to produce less greenhouse gasses, when what we really need to do is protect the environment, and it will solve global warming whether it is real or not!



The Kyoto Protocol would not have benefited anyone much even if everyone were to succeed in it, which was entirely unrealistic! But I see no one making the change for us to run on things like solar energy, or reinstalling more trees and getting rid of factory farms which just ruin land and put methane and other "greenhouse" gasses into the air!



I'm sorry. I'm tired of the Global Warming fear tactics. Has anyone noticed that all other environmental protection efforts have been abandoned, and we've swayed our attention to hybrid cars and fancy eco friendly trailers? What about all teh garbage, and the oil spills, and the trees that aren't there?
